Deep
Desert Base structure consists of 2 main elements which
are connected:
First, the central supply unit (csu), which is an outpost
of life in the taklamakan. A well draws for cool underground
water, which is used for water supply and to cool the
living units during daytime. Solar panels collect energy,
which is used for the heating at cool nights.
Secondly,
"feet" are assembled in the dunes to hold
the living units. They are connected with the csu by
a network of tubes which provide water and energy.
